I’m your host Casey Silveria and today we are joined today by Derek Clifford.
Derek Clifford is a successful single and multifamily real estate investor, author and podcaster.
He has retired himself from his full time corporate job back in September of 2021. Today he controls 400+ apartment units with over $50M AUM (Assets Under Management). His podcast, the "Elevate Your Equity" show focuses on helping corporate married professionals find and create three degrees of freedom: location, time, and financial. As the founder and CEO of Elevate Equity, Derek and his wife Sophie, partners with individuals and companies to purchase, improve, and operate cash flowing multifamily apartment real estate in the Midwest and South. Derek published his first book "Part-Time Real Estate Investing for Full-Time Professionals," in 2020, which has helped several people get started on the path of growing their passive income on the side while working a full-time corporate job.
He and his wife Sophie are now travelling the world while running their businesses and real estate portfolios, calling "home" wherever their current AirBNB's are booked. Places they've travelled to in the last year include Canada, Portugal, England, Ireland, Greece, Iceland, Norway, and Italy.
He also loves to give back his knowledge and has a passion for breaking down complex ideas into easy to explain topics. He’s helped many people start, maintain, and grow their portfolios to achieve their own financial independence. In his spare time, Derek enjoys relaxing with his wife, biking, hiking, reading, and undertaking small household construction projects.

Jesse Dickens has a background in cardiovascular sonography and is currently the Director of Operations for a mobile imaging center in Denver, CO. He started investing in Multifamily back in 2020, after a brief dabbling in the single family space. After successfully completing three Multifamily acquisitions in Tucson, AZ, he decided to get the word out to the medical community and started Wealthcare Capital Partners, a firm based around providing real estate education to healthcare professionals. He is currently under contract on a portfolio deal in Greenville, SC and plans to continue growing his portfolio in both the Arizona and South Carolina markets.

We are joined today by Tosin Oduwole
Tosin is a Real estate entrepreneur, a fund manager, an author, and someone who has truly impacted his community. He was born and raised in the Midwest to parents who quickly amassed a real estate portfolio of 200 units before they were 26 years old. Often Tosin would accompany his mother to supervise the properties as a small portion of them were self-managed. It was here he was introduced to earning income through semi-passive cash-flowing assets instead of physical labor.
Today Tosin is the founder of Building Acquisition Partners United, a regulation D 506c fund that has a focus on Midwest apartment complexes.
He's an author of Focus On The Fix, a book crafted from a 2018 Ted Talk he gave aimed at always looking for solutions in times of tribulation.
